Prerequisites
Before you can enroll in the Open Water Scuba Diver course, you must:
Classroom and Pool Sessions
Your course starts with your orientation at Wet N Rugged Sports. When
you come in to sign up for the course you will get your homework assignments
and your first video to watch at home to get you started. Your dive
guide will also help you select your Mask, Snorkel, Fins and Boots
during the orientation. You will have a schedule of your next
three sessions (and, if desired, an open water day.) Each session requires
you to have completed your homework assignments and consist of two
hours classroom training and two hours of pool training. For
each session you will need to have a swimsuit, and towel. Approved
Mask, Snorkel, Fins, and Boots are needed for the remaining sessions.
Scuba Equipment will be provided. Gloves are not needed until the Open
Water Certification dives. After the three sessions are completed
the Open water Dives are typically done over a weekend. Taking
a trip to complete your certification? We offer a Referral Program
to students who want to complete their Certification dives in warm
tropical water.
Open Water Certification
The Pool and the classroom portions of this course are only the beginning. To
complete your certification you must complete four dives in an Open Water
setting. Typically your open water certification dive will
be scheduled as soon as it is possible after the pool and classroom portions
of this program. Regardless of how you plan on completing the certification
dives you will have six months to complete the required Open Water Certification
without retraining.
