CLASSES: Specialty - Deep Diver

Deep Diver Specialty
This course is designed to be an introduction to deep diving and to help you develop the necessary skills, knowledge and techniques to safely participate in deep diving activities. 

Prerequisites
To qualify for the Deep Diver course, you must:

• Be certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver or have qualifying certification from another training organization.
• Be 10 years of age or older.

The Deep Dive conducted during the Advanced Open Water Diver program may be counted toward this specialty at the discretion of the instructor conducting the specialty course.

Course Overview
This course covers the knowledge, skills and techniques for deeper diving. During the Deep Diver course, you will learn the following:

• Planning, organizing, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of Deep Diving.
• Risk factors and decompression table review
• Safety stops and emergency decompression procedures
• Special equipment, descent lines and buoyancy-control considerations
• Procedures for flying after diving and high-altitude diving
• Orientation to recompression chambers 

Course Costs
The Deep Diver Specialty Certification from Wet N Rugged Sports includes:

• 4-8 hours of classroom instruction
• Four Certification dives
• Certification Processing and Administrative Fees
