Specialty - Wreck Diver
Wreck Diver Specialty
This course is designed to be an introduction
to wreck diving and to help you develop the skills and knowledge necessary
for safe wreck diving.
Prerequisites
To qualify for the Wreck Diver course, you must:
- Be certified as an Advanced Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization similar to that o Advanced Open Water Diver.
- Be 15 years of age or older.
If a Wreck Dive was conducted during an Advanced Diver program, it may be counted toward the certification requirements for this specialty at the discretion of the instructor conducting the specialty course.
Course
Overview
During the Wreck Diver course, you will learn the following:
- The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of wreck diving
- The preparation and use of lights, air supplies, special equipment, penetration lines and reels
- Limited-visibility diving techniques and emergency procedures
Course Costs
The Wreck Diver Specialty Certification from Wet N Rugged Sports includes:
- 12 hours of classroom lecture
- Four Certification Dives (charter fees not included)
- Certification Processing and Administrative fees
- Additional Equipment required: Line Reel and Lights available at Wet N Rugged Sports. Two lights are mandatory.
